Daniel Maia Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 Hi guys, I have a Ford Galaxy MK1 '98 with a 1.9TDI 110HP engine. It has 180 000km. The problem is simple: No power. In a high way it gets 100km/h very hardly, and the acceleration is very very poor. From 1000 to 2000RPM, i think its normal, but from 2000 to 5000rpm, its completely dead motor. The MAF is new, i bought a pierburg, and didn't solve my problem. What you guys think? thank you Quote

I dont think pierburg MAFs (they are usually metal bodied?) are the correct ones for your engine. Could be a vacuum pipe has come off or split. Or the turbo vane actuator is stuck Or the turbo control solenoid/wiring is faulty. Or another sensor/wiring is faulty. Or the intercooler has a hole in it. Or...... Quote

Here in Portugal, mercedes and VW group sell this MAF's, and its much better than bosh ones. Quote
